Code Enforcement Department

The Township utilizes the BOCA Basic National Building Code, CABO One and Two Family Dwelling Code, BOCA Plumbing Code, and the BOCA Fire Prevention Code.  New construction and alterations including, but not limited to, fences, pools, and storage sheds require building permits. Permit applications may be obtained at the Code Enforcement Office or by clicking on one of the links below.

As a Colebrookdale Township resident or business person, you can save time, effort, and money by first contacting the Code Enforcement Officer to discuss your ideas and find out if there are any Township regulations or permits with which you must comply.  Many times in the past, we warned of potential problems that property owners may encounter with their projects, and we have assisted individuals to achieve their goals by helping them through the processes to attain approval.

Remember, the Code Enforcement personnel can be of better service to our residents, helping them achieve their goals while still complying with the regulations, rather than having to inform them of a violation after the fact.

Here you will find more information on Township requirements that will answer some questions.  If we can clarify anything for you please call the Township.  We are most anxious to help you with your home and business projects.
