The Colebrookdale Township Code Enforcement Officer is available to answer any questions you may have; feel free to call him or stop in to the Township office.
The Township utilizes the 2009 International Building Code. New construction and alterations including, but not limited to, fences, pools, and storage sheds require building permits. Permit applications may be obtained at the Code Enforcement Office or by clicking on one of the links below.
As a Colebrookdale Township resident or business person, you can save time, effort, and money by first contacting the Code Enforcement Officer to discuss your ideas and find out if there are any Township regulations or permits with which you must comply. Many times in the past, we warned of potential problems that property owners may encounter with their projects, and we have assisted individuals to achieve their goals by helping them through the processes to attain approval.
Remember, the Code Enforcement personnel can be of better service to our residents, helping them achieve their goals while still complying with the regulations, rather than having to inform them of a violation after the fact.
Here you will find more information on Township requirements that will answer some questions. If we can clarify anything for you please call the Township. We are most anxious to help you with your home and business projects.
Specific permit applications are required per Township regulations:
New Building or an Addition to your existing building requires a Building Permit
The Township Commissioners have adopted the Fee and Rate Schedule Resolution that establishes permit and license fees along with fees for certain clerical services and fees for specified Township Manuals.
View information on plumbing, heating and air conditioning requirements and inspection forms
Fences, Sheds, Pools, Misc. Remodeling require a Zoning Permit
While enjoying your property, follow these reminders to keep your investment neatly maintained and safe for your family. The Board of Commissioners adopted the Colebrookdale Township Property Maintenance Ordinance to establish certain minimum health and safety requirements. Please read this for more details. In the event that you would need to inform the Code Enforcement Office of a violation please use this form to communicate your complaint. If at all possible, we will take the necessary steps to remedy the situation.
